The art project Sign of Care includes a series of activities developed alongside the exhibition through an interdisciplinary approach combining art, geology, and pedagogy. On the opening day, a close dialogue with the younger generations of the Berceto area is established through a workshop carried out in collaboration with the village nursery school. The young participants are invited to meet the artist Sóley Ragnarsdóttir, discover the artworks, and create their own interpretation of the care symbol designed for the project. Using natural materials collected from the surrounding environment—wood, pigments, flowers, and leaves—each child produces a personal version of the Berceto orchid, an indigenous flower chosen by the artist as the project’s central figure.
Adults from the mountain area and beyond are invited to take part in a performative walk extending from the village center to its surrounding hamlets. This collective walk is guided by Professor Segadelli, a geologist and expert of the region, who accompanies participants in discovering local botanical species and the underground water paths shaping the territory.

The art project Sign of Care includes a series of activities alongside the exhibition through an interdisciplinary approach combining art, geology, and pedagogy. On the opening day, a close dialogue with the young generations of the Berceto area is established by conducting a workshop in collaboration with the village’s nursery school. The young citizens are invited to meet the artist Sóley Ragnasdóttir, discover the artworks, and create their own version of the care symbol designed for the occasion. Each child, using natural materials collected from the surroundings, such as wood, pigments, flowers, and leaves, creates their own version of the Berceto orchid, an indigenous flower chosen by the artist as the project’s protagonist.
The adults from the mountain area and beyond are invited to participate in a performative walk that leads from the village center to the outlying hamlets. This collective walk is guided by Professor Segadelli, a geologist and expert on the region, who takes the participants on a journey to discover the area's unique botanical species and underground water paths.
