COLLATERAL

DESCRIPTION

The cultural association Virgin&Martyr, dedicated to promoting sexual and socio-emotional education, in collaboration with the art and psychology collective PSICO.LOBO, proposed the art therapy workshop Emozioni a Scarabocchio. While Winnicott delves into clinical scribbling concerning children, contemporary psychology also identifies its extraordinary potential in dialogue with adults. PSICO.LOBO chose to use this technique to work with groups, viewed as complex systems with great transformative potential, combining an artistic language with the language of psychodynamic psychoanalytic psychology.

The workshop becomes a collective experience, where unknown souls intensely contemplate an individual suffering shared only through the scribble. The rest of the group does not have access to the intimacy of others, which remains guarded by their thoughts and closed eyes. The reinterpretation of the clinical scribble technique was also made possible by a period of research that PSICO.LOBO developed with Professor Techel to better study its possible applications. The transformative clinical scribble allows for the creation of a safe space that fosters group dialogue and the sharing of personal intimacy through free association of images or thoughts. The way each participant presents their scribble to the audience differs in gesture and posture.
