ACRE is a publishing project born out of the desire to create a safe and inclusive space for exploring creativity—a convergence point for diverse practices with a keen focus on the independent scene. I contributed to Issue LOTTA and Issue LA CURA.
This article examines diffuse museology as a methodology for museums to address and communicate key contemporary issues. Can this be considered a practice of care? Should museums, as custodians of culture, take a leading role in responding to challenges like migration and environmental crises? In Europe, museums have undergone ideological, curatorial, and structural transformations over the past three decades. To reflect contemporary complexities, they must embrace interdisciplinary approaches, navigating the intersections of anthropology and contemporary art. Initiatives like those by Antropolis and World Anthropology Day 2022 exemplify this potential for dialogue and innovation.
